In its continuous efforts to support public health authorities to effectively manage COVID-19 pandemic, WHO Pristina donated an automatic extractor plus 2400 kits to the microbiology reference laboratory at the Institute of Public Health (IPH). This equipment will allow the IPH to expedite the process of extracting viruses, a work that was previously done manually. Now the processes will be much more efficient and, test results will be available much faster.

WHO Pristina is planning to donate more equipment to the health sector in Kosovo in the future in order to support the work of public health institutions and assist them in more effective management of COVID-19 cases.
