UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, in co-operation with the Faculty of Law of Pristina University “Hasan Prishtina” organized an opening event of a Legal Clinic on Protection of the rights of asylum seekers and refugees.

Dean of the Faculty of Law Professor Haxhi Gashi, the UN Development Coordinator in Kosovo, Ulrika Richardson and the Chief of UNHCR Mission, Erol Arduç, gave a talk to the students and wished them a successful completion of their studies.

The Legal Clinic contains lectures on the international and national instruments that consist of the protection of asylum seekers and refugee rights, global trends, humanitarian crises and other subjects.

The speakers from the international and national organizations will provide lectures for 30 students of the Faculty of Law on the specific issues foreseen in the curriculum.

The Legal Clinic will be supported by UNHCR’s partner organization the Civil Rights Programme Kosovo.
