During the 2nd UN Youth Assembly organized in Pristina, Kosovo on May 14-15, 2018, 200 young people from various ethnic backgrounds participated in a wide range of different activities including the Newspaper Bridge Challenge workshop. Thirty of them took part in this activity, in groups of five, and were asked to build a newspaper bridge with the goal to hold as many water bottles as possible.

This workshop aimed to not only encourage cooperation between the young people, but also connect their work or teamwork with specific SDGs. In the final presentation, all 6 bridges were able to hold 10 water bottles, and conveyed messages related to respective SDGs: 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), 4 (Quality Education), 5 (Gender Equality), 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) and 17 (Partnership for The Goals).
